atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-sarvadharmānupalambho batāyaṃ bhagavan dharmo deśyate| nāyaṃ bhagavan dharmaḥ kvacitpratihanyate| apratihatalakṣaṇo batāyaṃ bhagavan dharmaḥ ākāśasamatayā sarvapadānupalabdhitaḥ| apratimalakṣaṇo batāyāṃ bhagavan dharmo'dvitīyatvāt| apratilakṣaṇo batāyaṃ bhagavan dharmo niṣpratyarthikatvāt| apado batāyaṃ bhagavan dharmo'nabhinirvṛttatvāt| anutpādo batāyaṃ bhagavan dharmaḥ sarvopapatyanupapattitvāt| apatho batāyaṃ bhagavan dharmaḥ sarvapathānupalabdhitvāt||



atha khalu devānāmindro brahmā sahāpatiste ca kāmāvacarā rūpāvacarāśca devaputrā bhagavantametadavocan-anujāto batāyaṃ bhagavan bhagavataḥ śrāvaka āryasubhūtiḥ sthaviraḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hi bhagavan yaṃ yameva ayamāryasubhūtiḥ sthaviro dharmaṃ deśayati, taṃ tameva dharmaṃ śūnyatāmārabhya deśayati||



atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtiḥ śakraṃ devānāmindraṃ brahmāṇaṃ ca sahāpatiṃ tāṃśca kāmāvacarān rūpāvacarāṃśca devaputrānāmantrayate sma-yaddevaputrā evaṃ vadatha-anujāto'yaṃ subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatasyeti| ajātatvātsubhūtiḥ sthaviro'nujātastathāgatasya| anujātastathatāṃ subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatasya| yathā tathāgatatathatā anāgatā agatā, evaṃ hi subhūtitathatā anāgatā agatā| evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatatathatāmanujātaḥ| ādita eva subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatatathatāmanujātaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? yā hi tathāgatatathatā, sā sarvadharmatathatā| yā sarvadharmatathatā, sā tathāgatatathatā| yā ca tathāgatatathatā, yā ca sarvadharmatathatā, saiva subhūteḥ sthavirasya tathatā| tāṃ tathatāmanujātaḥ subhūtiḥ sthaviraḥ| ato'nujātastathāgatasya| sāpi ca tathatā atathatā| tāṃ tathatāmanujātaḥ| evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ| tathāgatasya yā sā tathatāyāḥ sthititā, tayā sthititayā subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ|



yathā tathāgatatathatā avikārā nirvikārā, avikalpā nirvikalpā, evaṃ hi subhūtitathatā avikārā nirvikārā, avikalpā nirvikalpā| evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastayā tathatayā avikāro nirvikāro'vikalpo nirvikalpastathāgatasyānujātaḥ| yathā ca tathāgatatathatā avikārā nirvikārā avikalpā nirvikalpā, na kvacitpratihanyate, evaṃ sarvadharmatathatā avikārā nirvikārā avikalpā nirvikalpā, na kvacitpratihanyate| tatkasya hetoḥ? yā ca tathāgatatathatā, yā ca sarvadharmatathatā, ekaivaiṣā tathatā advayādvaidhīkārā advayatathatā| na kvacittathatā, na kutaścittathatā, na kasyacittathatā| yataḥ sā na kasyacittathatā, tataḥ sā tathatā advayādvaidhīkārā advayatathatā| evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthaviro'nujātastathāgatasyākṛtatathatayā| yā ca akṛtatathatā, na sā kadācinna tathatā| yataśca sā na kadācinna tathatā, tataḥ sā tathatā advayādvaidhīkārā advayatathatā| evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthaviro'nujātastathāgatam| yathā tathāgatatathatā sarvatra sarvadharmeṣvavikalpā nirvikalpā, evaṃ subhūtitathatā sarvatra sarvadharmeṣvavikalpā nirvikalpā| evameva ca tathāgatatathatayābhinirmitaḥ subhūtiśceti dvayamapyaluptametadabhinnaṃ bhedakānupalabdhitaḥ| evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ| yathā tathāgatatathatā nānyatra sarvadharmatathatāyāḥ, evaṃ hi subhūtitathatā nānyatra sarvadharmatathatāyāḥ| yā nānyatra sarvadharmatathatāyāḥ, na sā kasyacinna tathatā| saiva sā tathatā sarvadharmatathatā| tāṃ tathatāṃ subhūtiḥ sthaviro'nanyatathatānugamenopagataḥ| na cātra kaścinna kvacidanugatimupagataḥ| evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ| yathā tathāgatatathatā nātītā na anāgatā na pratyutpannā, evaṃ sarvadharmatathatā nātītā nānāgatā na pratyutpannā|



evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastāṃ tathatāmanujātastathāgatamanujāta ityucyate| tathāgatatathatayāpi hyanugatastathatāṃ tathāgatatathatayā atītatathatāmanugataḥ| atītatathatayā tathāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| tathāgatatathatayā anāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| anāgatatathatayā tathāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| tathāgatatathatayā pratyutpannatathatāmanugataḥ| pratyutpannatathatayā tathāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| tathāgatatathatayā atītānāgatapratyutpannatathatāmanugataḥ| atītānāgatapratyutpannatathatayā tathāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| iti hi subhūtitathatā ca atītānāgatapratyutpannatathatā ca tathāgatatathatā ca advayametadadvaidhīkāram| evaṃ sarvadharmatathatā ca subhūtitathatā ca advayametadadvaidhīkāram| yaiva ca bhagavato bodhisattvabhūtasya tathatā, saiva bhagavato'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhasya tathatā| iyaṃ sā tathatā, yayā tathatayā bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhaḥ san tathāgata iti nāmadheyaṃ labhate| asyāṃ khalu punastathātagatathatāyāṃ nirdiśyamānāyāmiyaṃ mahāpṛthivī tasyāṃ velāyāṃ ṣaḍvikāramaṣṭādaśamahānimittamakampat, prākampat, saṃprākampat, acalat prācalat saṃprācalat, avedhat prāvedhat saṃprāvedhat, araṇat prāraṇat saṃprāraṇat, akṣubhyat prākṣubhyat saṃprākṣubhyat, agarjat prāgarjat saṃprāgarjat tathāgatasyaivānuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyamānasyeti| punaraparaṃ subhūtiḥ sthavirastān devaputrānāmantrayate sma-evaṃ hi devaputrāḥ subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ||



punaraparaṃ subhūtiḥ sthaviro na rūpamanujāto na vedanāṃ na saṃjñāṃ na saṃskārān na vijñānamanujāto na srotaāpattiphalamanujāto na sakṛdāgāmiphalaṃ na anāgāmiphalaṃ na arhattvaphalamanujāto na pratyekabuddhatvamanujāto na buddhatvamanujātaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hi te dharmā na saṃvidyante nopalabhyante yairanujāyeta, ye cānujāyeran| evaṃ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputro bhagavantametadavocat-gambhīracaryeyaṃ bhagavan yaduta tathatā| evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ śāriputrametadavocat-evametacchāriputra, evametat| gambhīracaryeyaṃ śāriputra yaduta yathatā| asmin khalu punastathatānirdeśe nirdiśyamāne trayāṇāṃ bhikṣuśatānāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni, pañcānāṃ ca bhikṣuṇīśatānāṃ virajo vigatamalaṃ dharmeṣu dharmacakṣurviśuddham, pañcabhiśca devaputrasahasraiḥ pūrvaparikarmakṛtairanutpattikeṣu dharmeṣu kṣāntiḥ pratilabdhā, ṣaṣṭeśca bodhisattvānāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputrasteṣāṃ bodhisattvānāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni viditvā bhagavantametadavocat-ko bhagavan hetuḥ kaḥ pratyayo yadeteṣāṃ bodhisattvānāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni? bhagavānāha-etaiḥ śāriputra bodhisattvaiḥ pañcabuddhaśatāni paryupāsitāni, sarvatra ca dānaṃ dattaṃ śīlaṃ rakṣityaṃ kṣāntyā saṃpāditaṃ vīryamārabdhaṃ dhyānānyutpāditāni| te khalu punarime prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhītā upāyakauśalyena ca virahitā abhūvan| kiṃcāpi śāriputra eteṣāṃ bodhisattvānāmasti mārgaḥ śūnyatā vā ānimittacaryā vā apraṇihitamanasikāratā vā, atha ca punaretairupāyakauśalyavikalatvādbhūtakoṭiḥ sākṣātkṛtā, śrāvakabhūmau nirjātāḥ, na buddhabhūmau| tadyathāpi nāma śāriputra pakṣiṇaḥ śakuneryojanaśatiko vā dviyojanaśatiko vā triyojanaśatiko vā caturyojanaśatiko vā pañcayojanaśatiko vā ātmabhāvo bhavet| sa trāyastriṃśeṣu deveṣu vartamāno jambūdvīpamāgantavyaṃ manyeta| sa khalu punaḥ śāriputra pakṣī śakunirajātapakṣo vā bhavet, śīrṇapakṣo vā bhavet, chinnapakṣo vā bhavet| sa trāyastriṃśato devanikāyādātmānamutsṛjet-iha jambūdvīpe pratiṣṭhāsyāmīti manyeta| atha tasya pakṣiṇaḥ śakunestataḥ patataḥ ākāśe antarīkṣe sthitasya antarā cittasyaivaṃ bhavet-aho batāhaṃ punareva trāyastriṃśeṣu deveṣu pratiṣṭheyamiti| tatkiṃ manyase śāriputra api nu sa pakṣī śakuniḥ pratibalaḥ punareva trāyastriṃśeṣu deveṣu pratiṣṭhātum? āyuṣmān śāriputra āha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| bhagavānāha-sacetpunarevaṃ cintayet-aho batāhamakṛto'nupahato jambūdvīpe pratiṣṭheyamiti| tatkiṃ manyase śāriputra api nu sa pakṣī śakunirakṛto'nupahato jambūdvīpe pratiṣṭhet? śāriputra āha-no hīdaṃ bhagavan| kṛtaśca sa bhagavan upahataśca bhavejjambūdvīpe ca patitaḥ san maraṇaṃ vā nigacchet maraṇamātrakaṃ vā duḥkham| tatkasya hetoḥ? evaṃ hyetadbhagavan bhavati-yadasya mahāṃścātmabhāvo bhavati, pakṣau cāsya na bhavataḥ, uccācca prapatati||



evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ śāriputrametadavocat-evametacchāriputra, evametat| kiṃ cāpi śāriputra bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau cittānyutpādya gaṅgānadīvālukopamān kalpāṃstiṣṭhan dānaṃ dadyāt, śīlaṃ rakṣet, kṣāntyā saṃpādayet, vīryamārabheta, dhyānāni, samāpadyeta, mahaccāsya prasthānaṃ bhavet, mahāṃścāsya cittotpādo bhavedanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhum| sacedayaṃ prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhīta upāyakauśalyena ca virahito bhavet, evaṃ śrāvakabhūmiṃ vā pratyekabuddhabhūmiṃ vā patati||



punaraparaṃ śāriputra bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'tītānāgatapratyutpannānāṃ buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ tacchīlaṃ taṃ samādhiṃ tāṃ prajñāṃ tāṃ vimuktiṃ tadvimuktijñānadarśanaṃ samanvāharati, ādhārayati nimittayogena, na sa tathāgatānāmarhatāṃ samyaksaṃbuddhānāṃ śīlaṃ na jānāti na paśyati| na samādhiṃ na prajñāṃ na vimuktiṃ na vimuktijñānadarśanaṃ tathāgatānāmarhatāṃ samyaksaṃbuddhānāṃ jānāti, na paśyati| so'jānannapaśyan śūnyatāyāḥ śabdaṃ śṛṇoti| sa taṃ śabdaṃ nimittīkaroti| taṃ śabdaṃ nimittīkṛtya anuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau pariṇāmayitumicchati| tato veditavyametat-sthāsyatyayaṃ śrāvakabhūmau vā pratyekabuddhabhūmau veti| tatkasya hetoḥ? evaṃ hyetacchāriputra bhavati-yatprajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhītaḥ upāyakauśalyena ca virahito bhavati||



śāriputra āha-yathāhaṃ bhagavan bhagavato bhāṣitasyārthamājānāmi-yo bodhisattvaḥ prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhītaḥ upāyakauśalyena ca virahitaḥ, kiṃcāpi sa bahunāpi puṇyasaṃbhāreṇa yuktaḥ kalyāṇamitravirahitaśca bhavati, saṃśayastasyānuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhiṃ prāptum| tasmāttarhi bhagavan bodhisattvena mahāsattvena anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhukāmena prajñāpāramitā bhāvayitavyā, upāyakuśalena ca bhavitavyam| evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ śāriputrametadavocat-evametacchāriputra, evametat| yaḥ śāriputra bodhisattvaḥ prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhītaḥ, upāyakauśalyena ca virahitaḥ, kiṃcāpi sa bahunā puṇyasaṃbhāreṇa yuktaḥ kalyāṇamitravirahitaśca bhavati, saṃśayastasyānuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhiṃ prāptum| tasmāttarhi śāriputra bodhisattvena mahāsattvena anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhukāmena prajñāpāramitā bhāvayitavyā, upāyakuśalena ca bhavitavyam||



atha khalu śakro devānāmindraḥ sārdhaṃ kāmāvacarairdevaputraiḥ, brahmāpi sahāpatiḥ rūpāvacarairdevaputraiḥ sārdhaṃ bhagavantametadavocat-gambhīrā bhagavan prajñāpāramitā, durabhisaṃbhavā bhagavan anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṃbhavā bhagavan anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhum| atha khalu bhagavāṃstān śakradevendrapramukhān kāmāvacarān devaputrān sahāpatimahābrahmapramukhān rūpāvacarāṃśca devaputrānāmantrayate sma-evametaddevaputrāḥ, evametat| gambhīreyaṃ devaputrāḥ prajñāpāramitā| durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhuṃ duṣprajñairhīnavīryairhīnādhimuktikairanupāyakuśalaiḥ pāpamitrasaṃsevibhiḥ||



atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-yadbhagavānevamāha-durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhumiti, kathaṃ bhagavan durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ? paramadurabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhum, yatra na kaścidabhisaṃbudhyate? tatkasya hetoḥ? śūnyatvādbhagavan sarvadharmāṇām| na sa kaściddharmaḥ saṃvidyate yo dharmaḥ śakyo'bhisaṃboddhum| tathā hi bhagavan sarvadharmāḥ śūnyāḥ| yasyāpi bhagavan dharmasya prahāṇāya dharmo deśyate, so'pi dharmo na saṃvidyate| evaṃ yaścābhisaṃbudhyeta anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhim, yaccābhisaṃboddhavyam, yaśca jānīyāt, yacca jñātavyam, sarva ete dharmāḥ śūnyāḥ| anenāpi bhagavan paryāyeṇa mamaivaṃ bhavati-svabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhuṃ na durabhisaṃbhaveti| evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-asaṃbhavatvātsubhūte durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| asadbhūtatvātsubhūte durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| avikalpatvātsubhūte durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| aviṭhapitvātsubhūte durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhum||



atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputra āyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-śūnyamityanenāpyāyuṣman subhūte paryāyeṇa durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhum| tatkasya hetoḥ? na hyāyuṣman subhūte ākāśasyaivaṃ bhavati-ahamanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbhotsye iti| evaṃ ca āyuṣman subhūte ime dharmā abhisaṃboddhavyāḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ? ākāśasamā hyāyuṣman subhūte sarvadharmāḥ| yadi cāyuṣman subhūte svabhisaṃbhavā bhavedanuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ, na tvevaṃ gaṅgānadīvālukopamā bodhisattvā vivarterannanuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ| yasmāttarhyāyuṣman subhūte gaṅgānadīvālukopamā bodhisattvā vivartante'nuttarayāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ, tasmādāyuṣman subhūte evaṃ vijñāyate-durabhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ| paramadubhisaṃbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhirabhisaṃboddhumiti||



evamukte āyuṣman subhūtirāyuṣmantaṃ śāriputrametadavocat-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra rūpaṃ vivartate anuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? śāriputra āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra rūpātsa dharmaḥ, yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra vedanā saṃjñā saṃskārā vijñānaṃ vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra vedanāyāḥ saṃjñāyāḥ saṃskārebhyo'nyatra vijñānāt sa dharmaḥ, yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra yā rūpatathatā, sā vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra yā vedanātathatā saṃjñātathatā saṃskāratathatā, yā vijñānatathatā, sā vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra rūpatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ, yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra vedanātathatāyāḥ saṃjñātathatāyāḥ saṃskāratathatāyāḥ, anyatra vijñānatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ, yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra rūpamabhisaṃbudhyate anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhim? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra vedanā saṃjñā saṃskārā vijñānamabhisaṃbudhyate anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhim? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte|



subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra rūpātsa dharmaḥ, yo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra vedanāyāḥ saṃjñāyāḥ saṃskārebhyaḥ, anyatra vijñānātsa dharmaḥ, yo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra rūpatathatā anuttarāṃ saṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra vedanātathatā saṃjñātathatā saṃskāratathatā vijñānatathatā anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra rūpatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ, yo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra vedanātathatāyāḥ saṃjñātathatāyāḥ saṃskāratathatāyāḥ, anyatra vijñānatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ, yo'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyate? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra rūpaṃ boddhavyamanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra vedanā saṃjñā saṃskārā vijñānaṃ boddhavyamanuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra rūpātsa dharmaḥ, yo boddhavyo'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra vedanāyāḥ saṃjñāyāḥ saṃskārebhyaḥ, anyatra vijñānātsa dharmaḥ yo boddhavyo'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte | subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra rūpatathatā boddhavyā anuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra vedanātathatā saṃjñātathatā saṃskāratathatā vijñānatathatā boddhavyā anuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra rūpatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ, yo boddhavyo'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra anyatra vedanātathatāyāḥ saṃjñātathatāyāḥ saṃskāratathatāyāḥ, anyatra vijñānatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ, yo boddhavyo'nuttarāyāṃ samyaksaṃbodhau? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-takiṃ manyase āyuṣman śāriputra tathatā vivartate anuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte|



subhūtirāha-tatkiṃ manyase āyuṣman śāriputra tathatāyāṃ sa dharmaḥ, yo vivartate anuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-tatkatamaḥ punarāyuṣman śāriputra sa dharmo yo vivartate anuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? yastasyāmeva dharmatāyāṃ sthitaḥ sarvadharmāsthānayogena? katamo vā punaḥ sa śāriputra dharmo yā tathatā? kaccidvā punarāyuṣman śāriputra tathatā vivartiṣyate? āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-evamāyuṣman śāriputra satyataḥ sthitito'nupalabhyamānānāṃ sarvadharmāṇāṃ katamaḥ sa dharmaḥ, yo vivartiṣyate anuttarayāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ? evamukte āyuṣmān śāriputra āyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-yayā dharmanayajātyā āyuṣmān subhūtiḥ sthaviro nirdiśati, tayā na sa kaściddharmo yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṃbodheḥ| ye ca khalu punarime āyuṣman subhūte trayo bodhisattvayānikāḥ pudgalāstathāgatenākhyātāḥ, eṣāṃ trayāṇāṃ vyavasthānaṃ na bhavati| ekameva hi yānaṃ bhavati yaduta buddhayānaṃ bodhisattvayānaṃ yathā āyuṣmataḥ subhūternirdeśaḥ||



atha khalvāyuṣmān pūrṇo maitrāyaṇīputra āyuṣmantaṃ śāriputrametadavocat-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra āyuṣmān subhūtiḥ sthaviraḥ ekamapi bodhisattvaṃ nābhyupagacchati śrāvakayānikaṃ vā pratyekabuddhayānikaṃ vā mahāyānikaṃ vā| praṣṭavyastāvadayamāyuṣmān subhūtiḥ sthaviraḥ| atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputra āyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-kiṃ punastvamāyuṣman subhūte ekamapi bodhisattvaṃ nābhyupagacchasi śrāvakayānikaṃ vā pratyekabuddhayānikaṃ vā mahāyānikaṃ vā? subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra yā tathatāyāstathatā, tatra tathatāyāmekamapi bodhisattvaṃ samanupaśyasi śrāvakayānikaṃ vā pratyekabuddhayānikaṃ vā mahāyānikaṃ vā? śāriputra āha-na hyetadāyuṣman subhūte| tathatāpi tāvat tribhirākārairnopalabhyate, prāgeva bodhisattvaḥ| subhūtirāha-kiṃ punarāyuṣman śāriputra tathatā ekenāpyākāreṇopalabhyate? āha-na hyetadāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kaccitpunastvamāyuṣman śāriputra tathatāyāmekamapi bodhisattvadharmaṃ samanupaśyasi? āha-na hyetadāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha- evamāyuṣman śāriputra satyataḥ sthititastasya bodhisattvadharmasyānupalabhyamānasya kutastavaivaṃ bhavati-ayaṃ śrāvakayānikaḥ, ayaṃ pratyekabuddhayānikaḥ, ayaṃ mahāyānika iti? evameteṣāmāyuṣman śāriputra bodhisattvānāṃ tathatāyāṃ pravibhāvyamānānāmaviśeṣatāṃ nirviśeṣatāṃ nirnānākaraṇatāṃ śrutvā yasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya cittaṃ nāvalīyate na saṃlīyate na pṛṣṭhībhavati, veditavyametat-niryāsyatyayaṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhyā iti||



atha khalu bhagavānāyuṣmantaṃ subhūtimetadavocat-sādhu sādhu subhūte| evametatsubhūte, evametat| pratibhāti te subhūte yathāpi nāma tathāgatānubhāvena buddhādhiṣṭhānenedaṃ vadasi| evameteṣāṃ bodhisattvānāṃ tathatāyāṃ pravibhāvyamānānāmaviśeṣatāṃ nirviśeṣatāṃ nirnānākaraṇatāṃ śrutvā yasya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya cittaṃ nāvalīyate na saṃlīyate na pṛṣṭhībhavati, veditavyametat-niryāsyatyayaṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhyā iti| atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputro bhagavantametadavocat-katamayā bhagavan bodhyā niryāsyatyayaṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ? bhagavānāha-anuttarayā śāriputra samyaksaṃbodhyā niryāsyatyayaṃ bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ||



atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-anuttarāyāṃ bhagavan samyaksaṃbodhau niryātukāmena bodhisattvena mahāsattvena kathaṃ sthātavyaṃ kathaṃ śikṣitavyam? bhagavānāha-anuttarāyāṃ subhūte samyaksaṃbodhau niryātukāmena bodhisattvena mahāsattvena sarvasattveṣu samaṃ sthātavyam| sarvasattveṣu samaṃ cittamutpādayitavyam| na viṣamacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| maitracittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| hitacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| kalyāṇacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| nihatamānacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| apratihatacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| avirhisācittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| aviheṭhanācittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| sarvasattveṣu mātṛsaṃjñāmupasthāya pitṛsaṃjñāṃ putrasaṃjñāṃ duhitṛsaṃjñāṃ copasthāpya pare ālambitavyāḥ| evaṃ hi subhūte bodhisattvena mahāsattvena anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃboddhukāmena sarvasattvānāmantike sthātavyam, evaṃ śikṣitavyam-sarvasattvānāmahaṃ nātha iti| svayaṃ ca sarvapāpanivṛttau sthātavyam| dānaṃ dātavyaṃ śīlaṃ rakṣitavyaṃ kṣāntyā saṃpādayitavyaṃ vīryamārabdhavyaṃ dhyānaṃ samāpattavyaṃ prajñāyāṃ parijayaḥ kartavyaṃ, anulomapratilomapratītyasamutpādo vyavalokayitavyaḥ, anyeṣāmapi tatra samādāpakena tadvarṇavādinā tatsamanujñena ca bhavitavyam| evaṃ satyeṣu yāvadbodhisattvanyāmāvakrāntau sattvaparipācane ca sthitvā anyeṣāmapi tatra samādāpakena tadvarṇavādinā tatsamanujñena ca bhavitavyam| tasyaivaṃ spṛhayata evaṃ śikṣamāṇasya anāvaraṇaṃ rūpaṃ yāvaddharmasthitiranāvaraṇā bhaviṣyatīti||



āryāṣṭasāhasrikāyāṃ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ tathatāparivarto nāma ṣoḍaśaḥ||
